Week 4 - We Are Officially Zombies!

At one month old, Jonny has succeeded at wearing us out! Eat, poop, eat, poop. Good thing he IS the cutest baby in the world. It makes it all worth it.

He is just starting to control his body some... when he's on his stomach, he can hold his head up for ten seconds, and he's learning to hold his pacifier. It seems like he is seeing things a bit more as well. We catch him looking around the room -- usually at large dark things, such as something hanging on the wall, or at bright things such as lights and windows. We've caught a few smiles, but he's not smiling at us. He'll smile just before he goes to sleep, like he knows the sweet bliss that awaits him when he closes his eyes.

Mom is recovering well, and has begun driving again, and has done some shopping and work in the yard. She is healing well, and is returning to her normal weight. Dad has become the expert diaper changer. 34 seconds flat, including an over the head swoosh.

So here's the body part breakdown to the best of our judgement: Nose, hands, eyelids, and skin color are from dad. Mouth, eye color, legs, and feet are from mom. Chin is from grandma B. The word is still out on his hair, ears, and arms.
